AIBC Sigma, Dubai, March 20-23, 2022

SolidBlock is a startup and that means we must explain ourselves to the world. Yael will travel to Dubai to take part in the AIBC Sigma Asia Conference, to pitch SolidBlock on March 21. The competition offers a solid launchpad for pioneering startups pushing the boundaries of emerging technology, bringing them invaluable advice and mentorship from leading investors in the field.

“Each pitch I give solidifies my belief that we are a truly unique startup,” explains Yael. “We’re positioning ourselves as a financial services platform for tokenized assets. For real estate, that means greater liquidity and the ability to buy and sell anytime and anywhere.”

A lucky 10 companies will be selected to pitch their project live on stage in front of a panel made up of a team of leading industry experts, putting them in the running to win a potential investment prize of up to $500,000 and giving them a leg up in their unicorn journey.

2022 Esport Conference, March 24, 2022

In addition, we’re sending our Web3 Research Lead, Lydia Scherr, to Las Vegas to attend the 2022 Esport Conference. There are so many intersections between gaming and the technology behind tokenized real estate. Lydia will speak on two panels on March 24: 11:00AM – What does the Metaverse mean for brick and mortar casinos and their online platforms, and how can we use this? And 4:00 PM – Should my casino offer NFTs? And, the caveat? Lydia is from Las Vegas.

“Casinos are right to see an opportunity for Vegas through esports, crypto, and NFTs,” she explains. “Vegas is making itself a sports hub in general. Superbowls, UFC and March Madness have always brought sports fans to Vegas. Now, the city has its own ranking hockey team, major league football team, and is eying additional pro sports teams.”
